My name is Kyle Hatfield and I serve at Ekklesia Eugene, where I help the church communicate the Gospel through whatever means necessary.

Not that it really matters, I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Oregon and my Master of Arts in Religion and Biblical Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. I am currently pursuing an Master of Divinity (I promise it’s not a wizardry degree) from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. But my greatest education in ministry has come through serving at Ekklesia, through the School of Ministry and the Kids Ministry. If you desire to go into the ministry, start by changing diapers.

My greatest education in life has come through being married to my beautiful wife, Rebecca, and raising my daughter, Madeline.

I also enjoy reading good books, writing ridiculous fiction, getting injured while attempting sports, enjoying movies with my wife, and watching Oregon Duck Football.

Endangered Minds is about the constant Christian struggle to view the world through a biblical lens in the midst of a generation that sees such thinking as bigoted, anti-intellectual, archaic, and close-minded. We know the good we ought to do but obedience is a battle. Let’s fight together and have some fun along the way.

Check out the introductory Endangered Minds blog post for further explanation.
